Jubilee Memorial College celebrated its cultural day on the theme ‘Balancing Tradition and Modernity’ on October 27 at Aongza Ki, Mokokchung. This is an annual event of the College where the students are given the platform to acknowledge and participate in the rich and varied ethical practices.
Nagaland District Children Ministry (NDCM) of the Assemblies of God of East India conducted the first ever Inter Church Children Choral Competition on October, 24 at Zhadi Bawe AG Church. A total number of 158 children representing 9 churches competed from the song 'Hallelujah Chorus.' The host church, Zhadi Bawe AG Church was adjudged as the champion while Zhadi Basa AG Church and Tenyimia AG Church, Dimapur were declared as the 1st and 2nd runners up respectively. The event was graced by Rev Moses Murry, General Superintendent AGEI and Rev Tusaya Kath, District Superintendent of AG NDC.The Kohima Liangmai Baptist Church D.Block Organized one day Father Seminar on October 28 at their Church premises with Rev Puthavil Neikha, Mission Director ABCC and Ethel Shitio, women leader, Lotha Baptist Church Kohima as the resource persons. State Level Quality Assurance Cell Members headed by Addl. Director, Dr K Nishena Nekha and Atula Aier, Assistant Director, Department of Higher Education, Government of Nagaland visited Yemhi Memorial College, Dimapur for an interactive session regarding quality assurance & Accreditation on October 27.Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS) Kohima district branch visited the victims of the fire incident that gutted a house on October 24 at Rüleizou Colony, near Government Polytechnic Kohima and provided financial assistance including materials support as immediate relief.Inauguration of Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Technology Course (BSc.MLT) was held at Para Medical Training Institute, Kohima on October 27. A short formal programme was graced by V Kezo, Commissioner & Secretary, Department of Health & Family Welfare as Special Guest in the presence of Dr Ritu Thurr, Principal Director, Health & Family Welfare, Nagaland with invocation pronounce by Keyireugabe Hegui.
